Data sources
Connect databases, BI tools, and other platforms to Kaelio for AI-powered analytics.
Data sources are the connections between Kaelio and your databases or platforms. The Connections page displays all configured data sources as a searchable card grid.
Browsing connections
The main page shows each data source as a card with its name, type, and creation date. Use the search bar to filter by name or type, and toggle Show enabled only to see only sources active for AI chat.
Click any card to open its detail page with tabs for Overview, Schema, Security, and Settings.
Adding a connection
Click the Add button to open the connection gallery.
Browse or search the available platforms. Connections are organized by category (Database, Cloud, Business Tools, and others).
Select a platform and fill in the connection details (host, port, credentials, and so on). The required fields vary by connection type.
Save the connection. Kaelio tests connectivity and begins an initial schema scan.
Supported connection types
The following platforms are supported, organized by category.
| Category | Platforms |
|---|---|
| Databases | PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, SQLite, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift |
| BI Tools | Metabase, Looker, dbt |
| Collaboration | Slack |
Each connection type has its own setup page with fields specific to that platform. For example, Snowflake requires account, warehouse, and role fields.
Connection detail tabs
Once a connection is created, its detail page provides several tabs:
- Overview — View connection name, type, description, and sync status
- Schema — Browse and manage database tables, columns, and relationships
- Security — Configure SQL security policies for access control
- Settings — Enable for chat, set scan schedule, and manage the connection
