Metrics
Create and manage business metrics from manual definitions, dbt, MetricFlow, or promotions.
The Metrics page lets you browse and manage business metrics that the AI uses when answering analytical questions. Metrics can come from multiple sources and appear as a paginated card grid.
All users can browse and view metrics. Creating, editing, and deleting metrics requires the Admin role.
Browsing metrics
Metrics appear as cards in a grid layout, showing 24 per page. Each card displays the metric name, description, source type, and associated connection.
Filtering and sorting
Use these controls to narrow down and order the metrics list.

Click Reset to clear all active filters. Page through results using the Previous/Next controls.
Metric sources
Metrics can originate from any of the following sources.

| MetricFlow | Imported from MetricFlow semantic layer |
| Promoted | Metrics promoted from SQL review insights |
Creating a metric (Admin)
Click the + button to open the Metric Workshop. Define the metric name, description, SQL expression, and associated connection. Save to add it to the grid.
Editing a metric (Admin)
Click any metric card to open it in the Metric Workshop for editing. Changes are saved when you click Save.
